Visit the Eat Real Festival August 28-30, 2009 in Jack London Square in Oakland. This festival features "street food", some of the Bay's best taco trucks, fresh fruits & veggies, ice cream sold from the back of a bicycle, local handcrafted beers, and sidewalk cinema on Friday and Saturday nights. Entrance to the event is free, the street eats are at the recession friendly prices of between $1-$5, and the price for the beer shed is $20. $20 will get you eight generous tastings and a souvenir glass.
