Diva on a Dime

Anna Sui has a "Gossip Girl" inspired collection coming soon to Target. The pieces are young, fun, and have that boho meets rocker style that we adore Anna for so much. Although it has been discovered that some of the pieces for the Target line are replicas from her 2006 collection (as seen above) a true recessionista knows we call that vintage, and pair it with current shoes. The collection hits Target September 13, 2009. http://www.target.com/

Words cannot express how we feel right now. Hemlines would like to pay tribute to Michael Jackson the Legend. He inspired us to dance and love one another through his music. Back in high school we did a routine to BAD, every year it was a Michael Jackson song or Janet. As a dancer you have to FEEL the music and that's what Mike did. Thank you Mike for sacrificing your childhood, so we can enjoy your gift of music and dance. Michael didn't hesitate to use African American supermodels in his videos either! Iman and Naomi Campbell appeared in his videos. May you R.I.P.

Revival of the Wayfarer

The Wayfarer was manufactured by Ray Ban in 1952, and peaked in popularity in 1961 when they were worn by Audrey Hepburn in the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's". In the 70's popularity faded, but in the 80's through clever product placement in television shows and movies like "Risky Business", the cool shades were back on every one's radar. Well guess what? 20 years later they are back again. Thanks to actresses such as Mary-Kate Olsen, and Chloe Sevigny spotted wearing vintage frames, Ray Ban took notice and re-introduced the original Wayfarer design that we love so much. Ray Ban Wayfarers can be found at: http://www.sunglasshut.com/

Current Trend

Jumpsuits are all the rage now, and can be found in various styles and lengths. We here at H&HS believe in doing what works for you, but if you are shorter in height I would suggest the shorter style. The shorter style jumpsuit paired with heels will elongate the legs.
