Style Stalking

As a fashion stylist I love to people watch, and get inspired. I Style Stalk on a regular basis, it's my fashion fix and makes me feel good. My stalk for today is actress/comedian Aisha Tyler, she was recently at an event looking ultra fab. I'm loving this monochromatic look she has going, it's simple & classic. Pinstripe pants, long silk top, off white jacket, with a jumbo chain link necklace. The hair is an elegant side pony tail. Stay tuned for my next Style Stalk, I could be stalking you next!

Haute Mall-ternative

Once again I come to you with the shop local theme. It is so important to stimulate our local economy, and here is a way to get started if you have not already done so. Oakland's Holiday Buy Night takes place Thursday December 10 and Friday December 11 from 5p-10p inside the Jack London Market. There will be a variety of items sold at this event such as jewelry, art, clothing, soaps, and much more. Buy Night will have a kids zone, DJ, and food and beverages from local restaurants & food producers. So eat, shop, and be merry! Info at Oakland's Holiday Buy Night.

Little Haute Dress

Where has the time gone? The holidays are here, which means you may be invited to several festivities as we cruise into 2010. This one is for the ladies; it's time to pull out your Little Haute Dress. The first haute dress is the A-line holiday red flirty dress by J. Crew; that will be ultra fab for that upcoming Christmas party. If holiday red is too cliche for you, try a black cocktail dress with ruffled detailing by Shop Bop. One of my personal favorites to bring in the new year is the one shoulder sequin embellished dress from Forever 21. Look carefully, this haute little number is navy in color which is the new black.

Haute Head

One of my favorite accessories happens to be head bands, and Forever 21 has some haute ones you can adorn your tresses. There's a variety to choose from; plus they are super cheap: Satin Bow-Zipper Trim Flower-Jeweled. Don't limit your accessories fashionistas! These come in handy when you have a bad hair day too.
